Site Handover to David
by Smigit on February 21, 2008
Hello, as you may or not know I started this site about 5 or 6 years ago now. Anyway, The past 2 -3 years of that I haven't been overly active due largely to a decline we had some time and I never really got back into the site. At one stage just prior to American Idiot I almost closed it down completly actually, something I don't think I've posted here before. Anyway a resurgence and sudden rise in new users saw me keep the site open due to renewed interest even if the place never felt the same for me.
I've had it on my mind for some time but I just offered David ownership of the place. He's responsible for it in it's current state and is a hell of alot more active to me and I've felt that him having creative control would be better not only for me but also the rest of you guys since an admin who isn't there isn't much use.
Firstly, to those I've spoken to, thanks alot for the times and I did really enjoy them. I know it probably seems otherwise but those I came into contact with were the ones that made me decide to keep the place open when thing's werent good. To the Mods and other guys that have provided content, thanks alot and I hope yon continue to do a fantastic job. And to anyone else, all the best.
As I'm sure you realise already, this move actually won't change a thing in relation to how the site is run but rather than have me as a go to person David will be that man now. Whether he retains my admin status is up to him. I'll still be hosting the site as I use this account for my own site too so I'll still be there but my involvement will be limited to paying the bills to keep the place going. That said, if you ever need anything such as the sites gone down or just need to say hi, hit me up with a Private Message and I should get back to you. I've updated my email address as I just realised I had one I havent touch for 6 months set.
Anyway all the best and I'm sure David will continue to do a great job as he has in the past.
