[color=#00008B]Why wouldn't they? :o Whatever the reason, if they're bringing it out, then they're bringing out a cover.

I do have something of a problem with that though. The simple fact that they're doing it for a cause strikes me as being very strange, considering that simply by doing that, they're getting the credit for it. So it's not a completely selfless act, which people seem to make it out to be :-s

A break yes, but years? :lol: Scooter did a nationwide tour and still managed to release an awesome album with a new member within a year :P [/color]

working class hero was one of the tracks recorded for an album called instant karma. the album has a total of like 20 songs on two disc's, with bands like green day, u2, avril lavigne and snow patrol.

all the proceeds from sales go to amnesty international for their efforts to end the genocide in darfur. and since [i think] all the songs on the album were originally john lennon songs, he gets a lot of the credit [mostly as his face is on the cover :lol:]

That said, Avril Lavigne is on there? Where can I buy this? :lol: [/color]

i do see what you're saying, though i don't even know if WCH did very well here. i just like the video and song. i never bought it though LMFAO.

and i think you can buy it on itunes. i have no idea, i never bought it :|

i think the video is quite touching. obviously not for you though! :P i have never used it either! :lol: i have it, but i never buy from it. limewire 8) free music is awesome :whistle:

They're not gaining much from it! :o It's not as tho it's getting airplay or whatever. And anyway, lots of bands do covers! :o

But rushing an album is no way to go about it :-s Scooter might be able to knock up an album (of whatever quality) that quick, but not all bands have the ability, and Green Day have a ton of pressure on them from impatient people wanting a better album than AI out quickly :o Albums take time and they have their own lives to lead and their own families to bring up at the same time. I think they're doing the right thing making a gap between the albums otherwise they'd get a ton of criticism, they need separating.

They're gaining credability from it though, and they're gaining a reputation, which is invaluable. It's not completely selfless, which I don't have a problem with, don't get me wrong. I'm just a great cynic :o [/color]

It's ok, not the best Green Day.

It's for some cause. Some other artists are also covering Lenon, infact there is a whole albums of Lenon covers from various artists.
