Three Can Keep A Secret if Two Of Them Are Dead
chapter 1
''You have five minutes.'' said the jail guard closing the thick metal door. She nodded, observing the room carefully. All of it was white, except the concrete floor, which was grey and full of cracks.
''You better not waist your time just standing around.'' She nodded once more and walked to a small chair and sat down infront of a shelf on which there was a phone. She was extremely intense, and a bit anxious. She could feel the tears swelling up in her brown eyes. She took a deep breath and picked up the phone.
''Hello?'' She shuttered, unsure of what to expect.
''Hello? Mom?'' A man's voice asked on the other end. ''I'm so happy to hear from you...It's been hell in here! I thought no one would ever come for me!'' She gulped nervously and felt goose bumps rise on her arm at the sound of his voice.
''Tre...why did you do it?'' She whispered, as a tear rolled down her cheek.
''Mom, you really think I did it?''
''Why did you kill them?'' She asked, pounding her arm down with anger and frustration.
''But...please...I..I wouldn't ever kill someone! Ever.'' She said nothing. All he can hear in reply is her mourning on the other end.
''Please don't cry...'' He murmured.
''I wish I could believe you...you let down your band, all your friends, and me.'' A hand grabbed her shoulder. She jumped in shock only to find that it was the guard. ''I'm sorry ma'am, it's time to wrap-up your conversation.''
''I need to go now Tre. I love you.'' She said hanging up.
''WAIT MOM...I love you too...'' He said. He looked down at the phone in a daze and shook his head. Just then two large men, fully armored with machine guns, small pistols, bullets, and a bulletproof vest grabbed his arms. They pulled him up and forward, forcing him to stand. He felt warm breath and smelt his disgusting breath as he whispered, ''You thought that was fun? Well fun time has yet begun.'' Tre gasped and his eyes grew wide. The men laughed and pulled him along into the jail cell area. They opened an empty cell door and tossed him in. He fell on his stomach and winced in pain. The men laughed and threw two orange jump suites on the floor. ''No more black shirts and red ties rock star. This is your new wardrobe.'' One of them said. ''Have fun...I've gotta idea that you'll be staying here for a very long time.'' They chuckled and walked away.
Tre sat up and crossed his legs on the floor and grabbed the orange clothes. The cell was like anyother cell. One small bed, a toilet, and a sink, all enclosed with grey-bricked walls and a hard-iron cage door.
He undressed, put his new clothes on and went to the sink to wash his hands and splashed water on his face.
''This is unbelievable.'' He said shaking his head. ''THIS IS FUCKING UNBELIEVABLE!'' He yelled punching the wall. ''WHAT MAKES THEM BELIEVE I WAS THE ONE?'' He sat down on his small rickety bed.''It must've been Billie...'' He stood up, fists clenched and his face crimson red. ''THAT SON OF A BI-'' He stopped at the sound of small whimpering in the far, dark corner.
He walked over quietly with his soft blue eyes fixed on the shadowy corner.
''Anybody there?'' He asked. He walked closer, and closer. Finally he could make-out what it was. He felt his whole body ease down. It was a little girl about five years old. Her face looked like it had been flushed from all the color. She was pale. Dark drown hair clung to the top of her head, resting underneath her ears. She jumped back, frightened.
''No, no...I won't hurt you...I promise.'' He said reaching out his hand. She looked up with her green, vibrant eyes, which seemed to glow in the darkness. She took his hand and stood up. She wore a white tattered nightgown that went down to her scratched and bruised feet. She walked in the lighted area and he gasped.
''How'd you get in here?" He asked. She shrugged. ''Here...sit down on the bed.''
''Why are you in here?" She asked in a squeaky voice. He sighed and looked down. ''I don't know...just because I've had a few problems...my back-stabbing friends let me down like always. Then all those demons I thought I got rid of a long time ago came back to haunt me.'' She starred at him attentively. ''Ok...''she said trying to lead him father in the story. He sighed and sat down next to her.
''Well...it all began three days ago after one of my concerts...''
I was so exhausted from this concert. I was panting like a dog and sweating like a pig. My body was so sore. My arms felt stiff and jarred. I needed to get away from everything. So I took a break in our bus. It was nice and quiet so I could gather my thoughts and just sit in silence not giving a fuck about the world. I suddenly got this craving. My breath got short and a ran to our pantry, digging vigorously through our shit. Finally, I got it. Tinfoil. I dug into my pocket and took out my ''grass'' and laid it carefully in the middle of a square piece of tinfoil. I wrapped it up; making sure non of it fell to the ground and bent the end up making a pipe. I grabbed a lighter that was sitting on the counter and lit the leaves of wisdom. I sucked in all that I could and let the smoke dance around in my throat and sighed letting it go. My mouth went dry, as I tasted the bits of weed tease my tongue. I felt my lungs go to ease and my head spin. Wow, it's some great shit. I took another woof and my whole body went into ease. I laid down on our black leather couch next to the window and stared out into the sky. It was nothing great because you can't see any stars in San Francisco because of the air pollution. But then, out of the midst of everything, I saw one lonely star just shining brightly all by itself. I smiled. It reminded me of a story my Grandpa told me a long tome ago about an outcast. Everyone told him of what to do, what to say, where to go. They were all bad influences, making him steal, cheat, and kill. He couldn't put up with the shit they put him through so he walked away, leaving them all behind. He got blamed for a friend's killing, and was whipped and thrashed. The man never gave up, and through all odds, he came through the darkness of the alleyways and proved he wasn't guilty. Don't laugh. It's a great story!
The lights streamed on in our bus and I squeezed my eyes shut and yelled from the sting.
''Oh, Tre, there you are! Next time tell us where you're going! We weren't sure if you went off with a girl or died in some gutter.'' Billie said smiling. I sat up and rubbed my eyes, taking in all the smoke I can with a sniff. He sat down next to me and squeezed my thigh with his hand. I could feel my hormones setting off and the pot was just helping that process go even faster. He glanced down and chuckled.
''Did I get you excited?'' He teased. I looked down at my pants and saw a small bulge. Without saying a word, I dodged to his face and kissed him. My tongue begged entrance to his mouth and he slightly opened his lips and tilted his head at an angle. He had such a wonderful taste, like cinnamon and loly pops. We broke the kiss, franticly catching our breath.
''I love you Tre.'' He whispered.
''I love you too Billie.'' I replied, pinning him down to the couch. He grabbed my crotch and rubbed roughly. I moaned and licked his tender, soft neck. It wasn't long before we'd lock lips again, massaging his tongue with my own, and trying to dig deeper and deeper into each other. I gasped for air and rubbed his chest, slowly arousing him.
''I want you Billie...''
